A total of 47 tennis players having to quarantine due to coronavirus outbreak

Almost 50 tennis players have been forced to self-isolate for the next two weeks after the arrival of three positive COVID-19 cases to Australia on flights from both Los Angeles and Abu Dhabi ahead of the Australian Open.

This has led to Tennis Australia holding a meeting with players to express their concerns over the arrival of the new strain of COVID-19 from Britain.

Players can now only train with another player from the same hotel and players have been given time limits of five hours in which they can leave their residences. Players can spend a total of 130 minutes on the court, 90 in the gymnasium and 60 minutes eating per day.

While this all goes on in Melbourne, top players such as Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Dominic Thiem, Serena Williams, Simona Halep and Naomi Osaka have all started their training under normal conditions.
