According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Ajax have entered into the race to try and sign Manchester United defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah.
The 23-year-old is out of a contract at Old Trafford during the summer transfer window and has rejected the offer of a new contract, likely because he wants to try and secure some first team football.
The Dutch giants Ajax will be colliding with the likes of Bayer Leverkusen, Marseille and Hertha Berlin who have all registered their interest and at this moment in time, Leverkusen are the ones who lead the charge.
Fosu-Mensah is one of many players at Manchester United who seem to be surplus to requirements, which gives you an idea of the direction that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is heading in right now. That doesn’t mean he can’t carve out a great career for himself, because based on what we’ve seen, it’s more than good enough to thrive elsewhere.
