Atletico Madrid have been the runaway leaders of LaLiga Santander since the very start of the campaign, yet a poor run of form has put their title pursuit in question.

With their home defeat to Levante, Los Colchoneros have now dropped as many points in their last four outings as they had in the first 19 games of the season.

Their troubles began with a 2-2 home draw with Celta Vigo at the start of February and, despite getting back to winning ways against Granada, they dropped two points at Levante in midweek and then suffered a shock home loss to the same side on Saturday.

Those seven points dropped in February are as many as they have let slip in the entire first half of the season.

They drew against Huesca and Villarreal back-to-back earlier in the season and then lost to Real Madrid in December.

That now allows Real Madrid to narrow the gap at the top of the table to just three points if they are able to defeat Real Valladolid.
