Premier League Could miss first leg vs Borussia Monchengladbach
Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Kevin de Bruyne will miss between four and six weeks with a hamstring injury, making Manchester City‘s upcoming run of matches all the more difficult.
Having picked up the injury in the match against Aston Villa, De Bruyne had already been ruled out of the FA Cup tie with Cheltenham, but the results of further evaluation have proven more serious.
Manchester City are now hoping the Belgian will be able to return in time for the Champions League knockout tie with Borussia Monchengladbach, although the timescale for him to make the first leg is a challenging one.
Premier League matches against Liverpool and Tottenham are also due to come in February, and missing De Bruyne for those would be a monumental blow to the Catalan coach.
