Copa del Rey Ahead of third round
The Copa del Rey has thrown up some upsets in the first two rounds and now, ahead of the third round, the four teams playing in the Supercopa de Espana – Real Madrid, Barcelona, Athletic Club and Real Sociedad – will enter the competition.
The draw for the last 32 will take place on Friday, January 8, at 13:00 CET, with live coverage from MARCA and RFEF’s official channels.
LaLiga Santander: Alaves, Athletic Club, Barcelona, Real Betis, Eibar, Elche, Granada, Levante, Osasuna, Real Madrid, Real Sociedad, Sevilla, Valencia, Real Valladolid, Villarreal
LaLiga SmartBank: Alcorcon, Almeria, Espanyol, Fuenlabrada, Leganes, Malaga, Rayo Vallecano, Sporting Gijon, Tenerife
Segunda Division B: Cordoba, Cornella, Ibiza, Navalcarnero, Alcoyano, Pena Deportiva
The finalists of the Supercopa (Real Madrid, Barcelona, Athletic Club and Real Sociedad) will all be drawn against one of the teams from Segunda B.
Until the semi-finals, all ties will be one-off games, which will be played on January 16 or 17, or 20 or 21, always in the stadium of the lower league team.
Until the last 16, due to take place on January 26, 27 and 28, VAR will not be used.
