Barcelona are interested in signing Manchester United attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard in the summer of 2022, according to ESPN. Lingard, who can also operate as a winger, is out of contract at United at the end of the season, and La Liga and European giants Barcelona are among a number of clubs who want to secure the services of the 29-year-old on a free transfer.
Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan are among the clubs who are keen on signing Lingard on a free transfer in the summer of 2022. Tottenham have already registered their interest in the United player, but the North London club are yet to get a response.
Lingard, who spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham United, has struggled for playing time at Old Trafford the season. The England international attacking midfielder has made eight substitute appearances and has played thrice in the Champions League for the Red Devils so far this campaign.
