FC Barcelona – La Liga Massive debts at the club
With the release of Barcelona‘s annual financial report, the specific amounts that the club owes other sides for recent transfers have been made known.
The Blaugrana have made plenty of big money signings in recent years yet, as the documents reveal, many of those payments are still outstanding.
In total, Barcelona owe 126 million euros to clubs around Europe for 19 players.
As the list shows, Barcelona still owe Liverpool 29 million euros for Philippe Coutinho in the short term, while that extends to 40m euros in the long term.
A sum of 16m euros is owed to Ajax for Frenkie de Jong, while Bordeaux are still waiting for ten million euros for the signing of Malcom.
Real Betis are owed nine million euros for Junior Firpo while Gremio can expect eight million euros for Arthur from back in 2018.
Villarreal are still waiting on 241,000 euros for the signing of Denis Suarez back in 2016, and Eibar are due 2.4m euros for Barcelona’s buy back option exercised for Marc Cucurella.
At the same time, Barcelona are also owed some money themselves from other clubs, with a total of 46m euros due in the Catalans’ coffers.
Barcelona are waiting on 9.4m euros to arrive from Zenit for the signing of Malcom, 5.97m euros from Getafe for Cucurella and 5.7m euros from Juventus for the summer purchase of Arthur Melo.
