FC Barcelona – La Liga Taken 23 points out of last 27 available
Ronald Koeman is never going to be able to win over all of the Barcelona fan-base, simply because he was appointed by Josep Maria Bartomeu, yet the Dutch coach has started to put together some results, with Barcelona‘s run in LaLiga Santander giving them a chance to dream about a successful season.
Out of a possible last 27 points, Los Cules have taken 23 and have even won their last five away matches in a row.
Despite the gap between themselves and leaders Atletico Madrid, Koeman’s efficient style of football has given fans some hope that all isn’t lost this term.
The month of January was presented as a possible nightmare due to the sheer number of away matches, but it has proven to be the exact opposite.
“It has been our seventh game away from home and we have not lost a single one in 90 minutes,” Koeman explained.
“We have already had five consecutive victories away from home.
“We were focused throughout the entire game and earned three well-deserved points.”
When you look at these results, it would be fair to consider there has been a change in dynamic within the squad, something that the former Feyenoord coach has been waiting for all season.
This makes it much easier to convince players that his method of coaching is the correct one, especially at a time of such doubt over the club’s own future.
