Coronavirus Gates feels fine after first dose
Bill Gates has received his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, sparking plenty of online jokes about 5G conspiracy theories.
Gates, at 65, has been vaccinated in line with standard protocols and this would be a non-story if not for the theories stating that the vaccine is his attempt to control the population via 5G technology.
“Now Bill Gates is going to control Bill Gates thanks to Bill Gates’ vaccine against Bill Gates’ virus,” wrote one Twitter user.
Many others made similar jokes, while Gates, for his part, tweeted that he had been given the vaccine and was feeling good.
“One of the benefits of being 65 is that I’m eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine,” wrote Gates.
“I got my first dose this week, and I feel great.
“Thank you to all of the scientists, trial participants, regulators, and frontline healthcare workers who got us to this point.”

Gates, a firm believer in the vaccine, predicted a large-scale global pandemic back in 2015, saying we weren’t prepared for such an event as too much money was being spent on war.
“If anything kills over 10 million people in the next few decades it’s highly likely to be a highly-infectious virus rather than a war,” said Gates.
“We’ve invested highly in nuclear deterrents, but we’ve invested very little in a system to stop an epidemic.”
