Juventus sneaked into the Champions League spots on the final day of the Serie A season courtesy of a straightforward 4-1 win over Bologna.
The Old Lady started the day in fifth but thanks to Napoli’s 1-1 draw with Hellas Verona, their victory was enough to secure a top four finish.
The visitors were quick out of the blocks with Federico Chiesa tapping home from close range inside six minutes.
Juventus continued to press and were rewarded when Alvaro Morata doubled their tally after excellent work from Paulo Dybala. Before the break they had a third goal with Adrien Rabiot finishing off a flowing team move.
Two minutes into the second half Morata made it 4-0, taking down a long ball down perfectly before slotting home. After this the game petered out with Andrea Pirlo bringing on a few squad players to see things out. Bologna did manage a consolation, though, with Riccardo Orsolini lashing home at the front post five minutes from time.
Here are your Juventus player ratings from their last Serie A match of the season…
Wojciech Szczesny (GK) – 7/10 – Forced into a few basic saves. He dealt with everything fairly easily.
Juan Cuadrado (RB) – 8/10 – A fine display. He put in one particularly wicked ball in the second half that Morata should have finished.
Matthijs de Ligt (CB) – 7/10 – Solid. Taken off at half time after picking up a knock. Did not seem too bad, so should not affect his Euro 2020 availability.
Giorgio Chiellini (CB) – 7/10 – A composed, assured display – not that he had that much to do of course.
Alex Sandro (LB) – 7/10 – Did not do anything wrong but did not catch the eye either.
Dejan Kulusevski (RM) – 8/10 – A positive performance. He was always looking to travel forward when he got the ball and set up Rabiot for the third. Denied a cracking goal of his own by the offside flag.
Danilo (CM) – 7/10 – One or two shaky moments but a largely impressive display.
Adrien Rabiot (CM) – 8/10 – Hit the bar early on but got his goal soon after. Involved in some beautiful passing moves.
Federico Chiesa (LM) – 9/10 – What a performance. He got Juventus off to the perfect start and was at the centre of everything they created.
Alvaro Morata (ST) – 9/10 – Chased down lost causes, grabbed a brace and linked the attack effectively. He has had a decent season.
Paulo Dybala (ST) – 9/10 – Came deep to get the ball and was impossible to dispossess throughout. Showed great invention to set up Morata for the second goal.
Leonardo Bonucci – 6/10 – Not tested to be honest.
Arthur – 7/10 – Did not give the ball away once.
Weston McKennie – 5/10 – Picked up a needless yellow after coming on.
Carlo Pinsoglio – 6/10 – Pretty shaky with the ball at his feet. Nice for him to get a run out, though. Made a good save from Musa Barrow late on.
Federico Bernardeschi – 6/10 – Injected some energy in the final third.
