FC Barcelona – La Liga Wants to succeed at the Camp Nou
Martin Braithwaite has declared his intention to stay at Barcelona beyond the end of the current season.
The Danish striker, who has scored five goals this season, stated his desire to remain in the Blaugrana shirt indefinitely.
“There is no way that I will leave in the winter transfer market or even at the end of the season,” he said in an interview with TV3.
“Next season, I will keep on fighting for my goals.”
Braithwaite, who has started 10 of Barcelona‘s 19 matches so far this season, is not discouraged by the fact that the club may be looking to bolster their striking options in January.
“I like that the club is looking for other players in the market,” he said.
“It is meant to be like that in a team like Barcelona, which aims to have the best players in the world.
“You need to have internal competition.
“It does not frighten me, it motivates me.
“You need the best players in order to motivate everyone.”
Barcelona have been making great strides in recent weeks and Braithwaite aims to keep progressing in the team and to win silverware at the end of the season.
“Next season, I will continue fighting for my goals,” he said.
“This season, we have the possibility to win many titles.
“This is my aim and I’m not thinking about anything else.
“This is the reason why I wake up every day and work so hard.”
