Boxing Starting to think about retirement
Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez has admitted that he’s beginning to consider his future in the world of boxing.
The 30-year-old Mexican remains in top physical shape as he prepares to fight Avni Yildirim just two months after beating Callum Smith.
“Six or seven years, that’s what we’re thinking,” Canelo told TUDN when asked about retiring.
“We’ll see, but we’ll still be being a nuisance in six or seven years’ time.
“[Two months between fights] is enough time, to be honest, and I’m very ready to fight.
“I feel very happy, thankful and motivated to go to Miami – a new place for my fights.”
