Real Madrid – La Liga No chance of him leaving
Casemiro’s journey to Real Madrid’s first team hasn’t been easy, with the Brazilian looking set to return to his country in his early days in the Spanish capital.
That was until Jose Mourinho crossed paths with him and weaned him into the first team setup, and has since gone on to become a pivotal part of the side.
Such is his importance to the team that Real Madrid will not even listen to any offer that comes in for the midfielder this summer.
Economic times are tough and Casemiro has no shortage of suitors, but Los Blancos cannot be tempted by any sum.
Casemiro has a contract until 2023 with Madrid and the club hope that he will fulfil it, which appears to be the intention.
Paris Saint-Germain enquired about him last summer and the one before but were made clear that he was not up for sale.
Close to returning to Brazil
When it seemed that Casemiro was set to leave Real Madrid and return to Brazil, Jose Mourinho gave him a chance against Real Betis.
That sparked a turning point and any coach at the club, particularly since the days of Rafa Benitez, has made him one of the first names on their teamsheet, and Zinedine Zidane is no exception.
This season he has missed just two games, due to the coronavirus, as well as the one against Athletic Club due to suspension.
With four goals in the league and another in the Champions League, Casemiro is the second highest scorer of the team this season.
Only Karim Benzema has scored more than the Brazilian, with eleven in LaLiga Santander and four in the Champions League.
