Competition: Europa League qualifying
Market: Celtic win
Odds: 4/11 @ 888sport
Looking to finish off the job when they make a return to Glasgow on Thursday night, Celtic will face off against Jablonec when they turn their attention back to Europa League duties.
Starting with the hosts, managing to pick up what was an action-packed victory on foreign soil last week and eventually putting four past Jablonec, it appears that Celtic have managed to find a much-welcomed boost. Building off of that performance over the weekend and grabbing their first Premiership victory, new boss Ange Postecoglou would have been hugely excited by Kyogo Furuhashi’s instant impact in Glasgow. Only arriving from the J-League last week, the 26-year-old played a vital role as the former Scottish champions breezed past Dundee United on home soil. Making his first start for The Hoops on Saturday afternoon, Furuhashi grabbed himself a hat-trick and really stood out in what was a Man of the Match debut for the former Kobe star.
As for the visitors, while Jablonec might have managed to land themselves a pair of strikes on home soil last week, the Czech outfit know they need almost a minor miracle in Glasgow. Heavily outplayed in their first-leg meeting at the Stadion Střelnice seven days ago, Head Coach Petr Rada saw his side only show a host of issues at the back. Knowing that they were lucky to have only shipped four last week, The Greens have endured a worrying run of form over the past fortnight. Throwing away the lead over the weekend and eventually having to settle for a 2-2 draw against Bohemians 1905 in front of their own supporters, Jablonec have failed to win any of their last three contests on the spin. Shipping nine goals in those three outings, the likes of Furuhashi should be looking to extend on his purple patch.
Bet: Celtic 4/11 to beat Jablonec in Thursday’s Europa League qualifying second-leg @ 888sport
