NBA Warriors guard making history
Steph Curry has surpassed Reggie Miller to become second in all-time three-pointers made and the Warriors guard has said the former NBA legend was his idol.
Curry, who still trails first-placed Ray Allen, made the comment in a video released by the NBA.
“Reggie was always my favourite player,” Curry repeats over and over in the video.
With an idol like the Indiana Pacers legend, it’s no wonder Curry became the player he is from beyond the arc.
When Curry broke his record, Miller was one of the first to congratulate the six-time All Star.
Miller, accompanied by his son, surprised Curry by appearing via video at his post-game press conference.
“You are an inspiration to so many little ones like mine,” said Miller in a heartfelt tribute.
Despite Curry‘s triples, Golden State have lost their last two games but will be looking to turn that around when they host the Timberwolves on Monday night.
