Music She’ll be 99 when it’s released
Dolly Parton is still making music, but her latest recording won’t be heard until she is 99 years of age.
The iconic singer has recorded a song that she won’t release until 2045, with it having been put in a time capsule in Dollywood, the theme park of which she is a co-owner.
“I don’t know if I want to live that long,” Parton said, “but if I do, I’ll be there for when my song is first played.
“It’s like putting one of my children on ice or something like that. I don’t know if I’ll be there to hear it.”
Her staff have been given instructions to proceed with the song’s release in 2045, and not even she herself has heard the final version of the song.
