Portugal Shown red card after full time
Edgar Davids didn’t get off to the best of starts as he took charge of Olhanense for the first time on Sunday.
The Portuguese third-tier club surprised many with the appointment of the former Ajax, AC Milan, Juventus, Barcelona and Inter midfielder.
The former Dutch international had only held one coaching job before, as he was previously in charge of lower-league Barnet in England.
Following his first game as Olhanense boss – a 0-0 draw with Lusitano de Evora – Davids was sent off for getting involvement in a brawl between players.
Angered by the decision and the end result, Davids opted not to speak to the press as he left the stadium.
