Manchester United centre back Eric Bailly’s status at the club is being monitored closely by his representatives ahead of the January transfer window.
The Ivorian, who made the move to Old Trafford from Villarreal in 2016, has been dislodged by Victor Lindelof in United’s defence and is no longer first choice after a succession of injuries.
Bailly’s game time this season has amounted to a handful of minutes in the Premier League and Carabao Cup, and with Axel Tuanzebe impressing for the Red Devils against PSG, it appears he may have fallen even further down the pecking order in Manchester.

With Bailly’s chances of a permanent first team spot in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side looking more remote than ever, his agent has warned Calciomercato that his client may have to weigh up his options when the January window rolls around.
Graziono Battistini, who heads the Promoesport agency which represents Bailly, claimed his client still has much to offer the side, but warned he would not necessarily stick around without consistent minutes.
“If he has the right chances, for me he can be an important player to solve some problems of the team. If all this does not happen, it is clear that the situation will need to be assessed, but now it is too early to say certain things,” said Battistini.

Battistini went on to entertain the idea of Bailly joining Stefano Pioli’s AC Milan side, but stressed that the defender remained committed to United.
“The Milan idea could have some logic, but several things need to be evaluated, and today we are talking of nothing,” Battistini asserted.
“My Spanish colleagues who are managing the situation are watching over every aspect, but the boy [Bailly] is concentrated on Manchester United.”
