FIFA Improving but needs rest
Sepp Blatter, FIFA president from 1998 to 2015, has been hospitalised in a serious condition, although his life is not at risk.
Blatter, 84, has had a number of health problems in recent years, and was even treated in an intensive care unit in 2015 when his immune system collapsed. In 2016, he was treated for a skin tumour and underwent knee surgery.
“He’s improving day by day, but needs time and rest,” his daughter told Blick, asking for the family’s privacy to be respected.
Just last month, Blatter revealed to The Athletic that he had tested positive for the coronavirus, though he assured he had already recovered from the virus.
