FPL Gameweek 29: The best forwards to sign

Some major results will be recorded at both ends of the table in the Premier League during Gameweek 29 with rearranged games bolstering the fixture slate.

Some big sides face each other in games that will have a huge bearing on the title race and the Champions League spots, while the relegation battle will be shaken up with so many teams yet to be able to call themselves safe.

There should be goals, and here is who we’ve picked for Gameweek 29.

FPL Gameweek 29 fixture: Everton (A)

He may be expensive and one of the two primary striking options in FPL, but Harry Kane could be a wise pick this weekend given Erling Haaland is up against Liverpool and has struggled in some big games this season.

Kane will be leading Tottenham in their first game since Antonio Conte’s departure and will be full of confidence after scoring twice for England during the international break to become the Three Lions’ all-time leading goalscorer.

Joao Felix

FPL Gameweek 29 fixtures: Aston Villa (H) & Liverpool (H)

His time at Chelsea may not be going to plan so far but Joao Felix did score in Chelsea’s last Premier League game and, given not many people have got him in their squad, you could get the jump on a lot of people should the attacker burst into life against Aston Villa.

He grabbed a goal for Portugal during the international break and may also fancy his chances against a Liverpool side that fluctuate between the brilliant and the bloody awful.

Darwin Nunez

FPL Gameweek 29 fixtures: Manchester City (A) & Chelsea (A)

Given Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez has found his feet at Liverpool now, he will be absolutely desperate to impress while on the same pitch as Erling Haaland. He may have a slight knock but is expected to be fit to start the game against Manchester City before they then visit Chelsea.

There is a feeling that Nunez can be the man for the big occasions as he clearly has a very strong mindset. With Liverpool in need of the points, Nunez has two big games coming up.

Ollie Watkins

FPL Gameweek 29 fixture: Chelsea (A) & Leeds (A)

Ollie Watkins is in a fine run of form and even though Aston Villa are away at Chelsea this weekend, the Blues are capable of odd results and Watkins is likely to be involved if Villa grab some goals.

He has scored in six of their last eight Premier League matches and also grabbed an assist in the recent win over Bournemouth, so he could be a wise pick for Gameweek 29, especially with a trip to struggling Leeds in midweek.

The deadline to make changes for Gameweek 29 should not catch too many people out. It’s at 11:00 BST on Saturday 1 April. That means you can make final changes before gearing up to watch Man City vs Liverpool at 12:30.

That is one of seven games on Saturday with Chelsea vs Aston Villa being at 17:30. Two games are played on Sunday, including Newcastle vs Manchester United, before Monday night’s clash between Everton and Tottenham in the latter’s first game without Antonio Conte.

Rearranged Premier League fixtures then take over on Tuesday and Wednesday, with Chelsea taking on Liverpool and Brentford visiting Man Utd in two of the biggest games.
