England Went against coronavirus protocol in Iceland
Mason Greenwood and Phil Foden could face action from the Football Association (FA) for breaking coronavirus protocol while on England duty.
Both youngsters made their international debuts for England during their 1-0 win over Iceland in Reykjavik on Saturday.
According to the Daily Mail, Greenwood and Foden were caught bringing girls back to England’s team hotel in Iceland.
Their actions go against the safety regulations put in place to avoid COVID-19 infections in national squads during the international break.
Neither player trained with Gareth Southgate’s squad on Monday, with the Daily Mail claiming that they’ve been sent home.
England play Denmark in Copenhagen on Tuesday in their second Nations League fixture of this September break.
