Inter Miami have had an inconsistent start to their inaugural season in the MLS but there have been plenty of encouraging signs, particularly last time out at New York Red Bulls where they won 2-1 courtesy of goals from Matias Pellegrino and Gonzalo Higuain.
Inter Miami, backed by a powerful ownership group which includes David Beckham, have invested heavily and have made some eye-catching signings with Higuain and Blaise Matuidi from Juventus the pick of the bunch.
Those headline arrivals haven’t brought about instant success but it shouldn’t be long until Inter Miami, who have recorded home wins over Atlanta and Orlando City from six matches this season, start winning on a more regular basis.
And a visit from Houston, who have won only two of their last 25 MLS away games, offers the perfect opportunity to do so.
Both teams have scored in six of Inter Miami’s last seven MLS fixtures and given Houston have failed to score in only four of their 20 away league matches, a home clean sheet looks unlikely.
A bet on both teams to score & over 2.5 goals looks the best play. There have been 19 goals scored in Inter Miami’s six home fixtures – an average of 3.16 per outing.
Those opting for a correct score should take Diego Alonso’s hosts to win 2-1 – three of their four wins this season have ended that way.
