According to a recent report from Sunday Mirror, Inter Milan are interested in the possibility of trying to sign Jesse Lingard.
The England international has slipped down the pecking order at Manchester United to the point where he is no longer a regular starter at Old Trafford. Apparently, though, former United stars Ashley Young and Romelu Lukaku have both informed Inter manager Antonio Conte that he would be a solid signing for the Italian giants.
Lingard, in the limited opportunities he has received in recent months with the Red Devils, has proven that he still has something to offer – but he needs to be given that chance on a more consistent basis.
Manchester United will always be grateful to him for some of the vital goals that he’s been able to score for the club over the years, but as they push on to try and challenge Liverpool in the title race, Lingard needs to try something new.
