Inter are expected to terminate Christian Eriksen’s contract with the club as he would not be permitted to play in Serie A with his implantable cardioverter defibrillator.
Eriksen has not played since he collapsed on the pitch while featuring for Denmark at Euro 2020 in the summer and there is major doubt over whether he will be able to continue his playing career.

Rules in Italy state players cannot appear in Serie A unless they have their ICD removed following a cardiac arrest.
BBC Sport say there is an agreement that it would be impractical for Eriksen to stay and the parties are now working on reaching a deal that would allow the former Tottenham midfielder to leave.
Eriksen was seen training at former club Odense earlier this month, using their facilities to work with a personal trainer. He could continue his professional career with an ICD elsewhere, with Daley Blind one such example of a player who has returned to the game after being fitted with a pacemaker.
There has been no official word from Eriksen yet over whether he will continue his playing career.
The 29-year-old joined Inter in January 2020 after six and a half years with Spurs. He helped them finish as runners-up in the Europa League that season before the Nerazzurri won the Serie A title the following campaign.
The Dane scored eight goals in 60 appearances in all competitions for Inter. Eriksen could stay in Denmark, with Odense’s sporting director Enrico Augustinus recently saying: ”Of course there’s room for Christian at Odense, if he decides to play football again.
”We can stretch a bit (financially), but there are probably no Danish clubs that have the money to buy him. It depends on whether he’s a free transfer. But there are probably no Danish clubs that can give him a fair market salary either.”
