Sunil Chhetri is without doubt the most popular footballer in India, with the striker a talismanic presence for both club and country. The 37-year-old is the top Indian goalscorer in the ISL, with 51 goals to his name so far.
Chettri has been with Bengaluru FC since 2016/17, though he has also played for Mumbai City FC in the past.
It is unfortunate that Jeje Lalpekhlua has failed to live up to his talent, though he has still put in decent performances during his career. The 31-year-old who has played for a number of clubs in the ISL so far has netted 24 goals in the competition.
He currently plays for SC East Bengal.
A young talent who is highly spoken of is Lallianzuala Chhangte, with the striker putting in impressive performances on the pitch. While the 24-year-old might not be the most consistent goalscorer, he provides that spark that is needed on the field.
A winger by trade, Bipin Singh has played a key role in all of Mumbai City’s success in the recent past with the 27-year-old a key presence for the club.
Singh has the knack of scoring important goals and will no doubt look to add to his tally as his career progresses.
Considered as one of the most promising strikers in India, Manvir Singh currently plays for ATK Mohun Bagan – for whom he has been a creative presence on the pitch.
The 26-year-old is not known for scoring goals in droves, but is known to be a reliable presence on the field.
