ISL: Alvaro Vazquez reportedly agrees terms to move to FC Goa from Kerala Blasters

Indian Super League (ISL) side, FC Goa are set to make their first signing of the upcoming 2022/23 season, with reports emerging that they have agreed terms with Spanish striker, Alvaro Vazquez who will join the club on a two-year deal after his contract ends with Kerala Blasters FC on May 31, 2022.

Vazquez who signed with Kerala Blasters in 2021, proved to be a brilliant signing as he scored eight goals and registered two assists for them last season. It was understood that Goa were keen to sign the striker last season but missed out on him as they were in a hurry to finalise a striker rather than wait till the end of the transfer window.

Despite interest from clubs in China, United States of America and other ISL clubs, the Spaniard decided to move to Goa as he agreed terms with them at the first possible opportunity.

The Spaniard will be a good addition to the Goa side who endured a poor 2021/22 season as they could only managed to finish ninth in the league table, failing to make it to the semifinals for the first time since 2016.

Vazquez has vast experience considering that he has played for the likes of Espanyol, Getafe, Swansea City, Real Zaragoza and Sporting Gijon so far during his career – making over 150 appearances in the LaLiga.
