Chelsea midfielder Jessie Fleming has been named Barclays Women’s Super League player of the month for November, while Reading boss Kelly Chambers has scooped the manager of the month prize.
Fleming’s versatility has been a big plus for Chelsea in recent weeks, especially when Pernille Harder was sidelined through injury. The Canadian scored in successive WSL wins over Aston Villa and Manchester City during November, as well as getting an assist in a victory against Birmingham.

Fleming is also one of the November nominees for the Vertu Motors PFA WSL Fans’ Player of the Month award, for which the voting is still open.
Chambers, meanwhile, steered Reading to an impressive run of results in November. The Royals had started the 2021/22 campaign with a string of defeats but finally got a first win in their last game of October, before taking seven points from a possible nine in November to fly up the table.
Reading enjoyed wins against Birmingham and a Brighton side that have impressed everyone this season, either side of a draw with a dangerous West Ham.

As chance would have it, Fleming and Chambers will go up against each other this weekend when Chelsea make the relatively short trip to Reading in the WSL.
This is the first WSL match since before the international break, with the league programme paused last weekend to make way for domestic cup commitments.
