FC Barcelona – La Liga Hits out at the Barcelona boss
Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman‘s complaints about referees and VAR after their Clasico loss to Real Madrid haven’t been universally well received.
Juanma Castano is one of those left less than impressed by the Dutchman’s protestations.
“It’s impossible to be more of a crybaby,” Castano, of COPE’s El Partidazo, said about Koeman, “considering how he was after the incident between [Ferland] Mendy and [Martin] Braithwaite.
“It’s not a penalty and I don’t think Koeman thinks it is.”
Castano continued to express his excitement about how close things are in the LaLiga Santander title race, and how unexpectedly the race has come about.
“The eight games remaining will be exciting,” he said. “Nobody expected this. Two months ago nobody believed it would be in this situation.
“We’ve had a more exciting season than in recent years. There are three teams who, in their own way, will fight for the title.”
Zinedine Zidane isn’t the only man concerned about Real Madrid’s players’ fitness, with Castano sharing his worries.
“Zidane said Real Madrid are at the limit,” Castano said. “They have to be careful with the physical situation for the final stretch and for Liverpool.”
Looking at Atletico Madrid and their title chances, Castano turned his attention to Diego Simeone.
“Simeone said: ‘You have to resist’,” he said. “That’s Atletico Madrid’s motto. They have to resist.”
