Keylor Navas is Europe’s second most decisive goalkeeper

Ligue 1 Only Jan Oblak makes more saves

Keylor Navas is Europe's second most decisive goalkeeper

Having won a host of titles with Real Madrid in Spain, Keylor Navas continues to be at the top of the game with Paris Saint-Germain as a study shows that he makes more saves than almost any other goalkeeper.

After being listed among the best goalkeepers of the decade by IFFH, the new research from L’Equipe lists him among the very best on the continent.

Only Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak saves more shots, at 87.5 percent, than Navas at 84.4 percent, ahead of Dijon shotstopper Anthony Racioppoi on 80.5 percent in third.

The arrival of Mauricio Pochettino to the club’s dugout had sparked speculation that his former Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris could return to his home country to take Navas‘ place.

However, in 15 outings this season, the Costa Rican has kept clean sheets in 10 games, an even better rate than the 11 shutouts he recorded in 21 matches last season.

Now back on top of Ligue 1, level on 42 points with Lille, Pochettino can rely on the man he has between the sticks.
