NBA Was gifted to him by wife Vanessa
Kobe Bryant may not have flaunted it much, but the late Los Angeles Lakers legend was passionate about cars.
Some evidence of this is the 1963 Chevrolet Impala that was gifted to him by his wife, Vanessa Bryant.
The former Lakers star tragically died in a helicopter crash on January 26, 2020, and the Impala that he received as a Christmas present in 2006 is now up for auction at Goldin Auctions, with just 40,000 kilometres on the clock.
It was Vanessa herself who contributed to the car’s customisation, along with the experts at West Coast Customs, the workshop responsible for the creations on MTV’s ‘Pimp My Ride’ show, who converted the original model into a lowrider.
The car, which was part of Bryant‘s garage until 2013, has a starting price of 100,000 dollars but is expected to fetch more than double that.
