Australian Open – Tennis He played doubles with Kokkinakis
Nick Kyrgios raised a few smiles when he took to the court for his doubles match on Sunday, imitating Novak Djokovic‘s gestures to the crowd.
The Australian lost in the third round of the singles event to Dominic Thiem, but was then competing in doubles at the Australian Open with compatriot Thanasi Kokkinakis.
The wildcard pair lost to fourth seeds Lukasz Kubot and Wesley Koolhof, but it was Kyrgios‘ walkout which really grabbed attention.

As he emerged onto the court, the 25-year-old extended his arms from his chest out towards the empty stands in imitation of Djokovic‘s trademark gesture of appreciation to his fans.
It isn’t the first time Kyrgios has shown his talents for impressions as one year ago he imitated Rafael Nadal‘s pre-serve ritual, to the amusement of the umpire.
