Leicester vs Leeds: TV channel, live stream, team news & prediction

Leeds boss Jesse Marsch will take charge of his game as a Premier League head coach this weekend when his new side travel to Leicester.

The American replaced Marcelo Bielsa on Monday and has had a few days to try and get his feet under the table before being thrown into his first matchday.

The side he has inherited from his predecessor is in a bad way. They haven’t won in six Premier League games and have lost five of those, conceding 14 goals in the last three alone.

Leicester, on the other hand, made a statement in midweek when they beat Burnley at Turf Moor in a rearranged game. That was their first league win in 2022.

This is everything you need to know about the game…

When is kick off? Saturday 5 March, 12:30 (GMT)
Where is the match being played? King Power Stadium
TV channel/live stream? BT Sport 1 (UK), fuboTV (US)
Highlights? Sky Sports Football YouTube, BBC Match of the Day (UK)
Referee? David Coote
VAR? Jarred Gillett

James Maddison and Ricardo Pereira are both doubts with hamstring trouble and will continue to be assessed ahead of the game to see if either is fit enough to play.

Jamie Vardy could be in contention to start after a whirlwind return from the bench in midweek.

Leicester remain without Jonny Evans, Timothy Castagne, Wesley Fofana, James Justin and Ryan Bertrand, what would be a strong Premier League starting back five.

Leeds are still without influential senior figures Liam Cooper and Kalvin Phillips in a blow to the new boss. Diego Llorente has also been described by Marsch as ‘questionable’ for this one.

Patrick Bamford’s injury trouble has been a huge factor in Leeds’ struggles this season. He is now ‘close’ to a return and could have an outside chance of making it onto the bench.

Leicester have home advantage here and are in slightly better form, having also enjoyed recent success in the Europa Conference League knockout stage.

Marsch’s task to arrest Leeds’ woeful form is huge and it may take him a little longer to figure things out before the results start to come. That points to a Leicester win this time out.

Prediction: Leicester 3-1 Leeds
