Manchester City want Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland

Manchester City are interested in signing Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, according to Eurosport. It has been reported that the former Premier League champions are on the lookout for a new striker, and that Haaland is ‘a genuine target’ and is viewed ‘as the all-action front man who will ensure the goals do not dry up in the coming years’.

Haaland has been on the books of Dortmund since January 2020 when he joined from RB Salzburg. The Norway international striker has been a huge hit at the German club and is banging in the goals for fun.

According to WhoScored, the 20-year-old has scored six goals and provided two assists in six Bundesliga matches and has scored four goals in three Champions League games for Dortmund so far this season. During the second half of the 2019-20 campaign, the young striker scored 13 goals in the league and eight goals in the Champions League, according to WhoScored.
