Granada 0-4 Barcelona Happy with Umtiti’s performance
Barcelona’s Oscar Mingueza was pleased with the side’s performance as they picked up a big 4-0 win away at Granada on Saturday evening.
The Catalans have had their ups and downs this term, but both Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann were on form on Saturday, each scoring twice.
But Mingueza insists that the players are working in the same way that they always have, and that their upturn in form was always just a matter of time.
“We’re working like always,” Mingueza said. “The sessions are the same, but our effectiveness was better. Someday the chances had to go in.
“I’m happy with the win. We’ve been away from home three matches in a row now. It was important to start like we did.”
Samuel Umtiti returned to the pitch for the Catalans, starting beside Mingueza at the back.
“He played very well,” Mingueza said of his defensive partner. “I’m very happy for him. He deserved it after a long time out.”
