Coronavirus Study reveals effectiveness
A study in the United States has revealed that the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine is just as effective with half the dosage.
The research showed that participants who received 50mg of the vaccine developed the same antibodies as those who were given 100mg.
The results were published in Vaccine magazine and the study included the participation of 600 subjects, half of whom received the full dose and the other group just half.
Both groups received the vaccine in two doses and the group with the weaker dose actually had a better initial response, but this levelled out after the second dose.
The groups were also sub-divided by age results were consistent across all groups, while also confirming some known side effects, such as headaches and fatigue after receiving the injection.
