Nice have lost one of their last 15 games.Nice are unbeaten in their last six away league fixtures.Montpellier have lost four of their last five matches.Pace-setters Nice can maintain the gallop
Patrick Vieira knows the secret of staying undefeated (he was a member of Arsenal’s Invincibles outfit in 2003-04) and we think his Nice side can extend their unbeaten sequence to eight by defeating Montpellier at Stade de la Mosson.
Nice are the early pace-setters in Ligue 1 after victories at home to Lens (2-1) and away to Strasbourg (2-0) and have been playing consistently well for a long period.
They have lost just one of 11 matches this year and have not been defeated on their travels since a 4-1 reverse at St Etienne last December.
Trips to Montpellier can be tough and Vieira’s men are sure to respect their hosts, who had the top flight’s third best home record last season – winning ten, drawing two and losing two.
But Montpellier lost 2-1 away to Rennes in their only outing this season and we are predicting a 2-1 loss against Nice, who are one of the league’s form sides.
