Real Madrid | Transfer Market Spurs need a centre-back
Jose Mourinho and Tottenham Hotspur are on the hunt for a defender as they seek to keep fighting for the Premier League title, which has led them to identity Real Madrid centre-back Eder Militao as a target.
Mourinho is very keen on the Brazil international and is hoping to bring him in on loan with a view to making the deal permanent.
This information has come from Corriere dello Sport, who believe that a departure is a possibility.
Militao has fallen down the pecking order at Los Blancos, who wouldn’t be averse to offloading the 22-year-old’s salary. However, having paid 50 million euros for him just 18 months ago, they won’t be keen on letting him go cheaply.
In the last nine games Militao hasn’t featured at all for Real Madrid, while last season he only made 10 starts in LaLiga Santander.
The former Porto and Sao Paulo player doesn’t seem to be in Zinedine Zidane‘s plans, and he wasn’t even tried at right-back when Dani Carvajal and Alvaro Odriozola were out injured, despite having experience in the position.
A move would appear to suit all parties, with the main doubt being how much of a loss Real Madrid would be prepared to accept on such a big investment.
