Ligue 1 Ben Arfa does make the team
Neymar and Kylian Mbappe were omitted from France Football’s Ideal XI in Ligue 1 for the first half of the season.
The PSG stars, alongside Memphis Depay, were the headline names omitted from the team chosen by the editors of the publication.
Four of their teammates – Marquinhos, Keylor Navas, Angel di Maria and Rafinha – were included in the line-up.
A notable inclusion in the team was Hatem Ben Arfa, the Bordeaux winger, who has been reborn following his summer switch from Real Valladolid.
Ben Arfa has managed four assists, two goals and shares the joint-highest average rating (6.18) with Lyon attacking midfielder Lucas Paqueta.
In addition to the PSG quartet and Ben Arfa, the rest of those to have made the cut are Mathieu Debuchy (Saint-Etienne), Nayef Aguerd (Rennes), Romain Perraud (Brest), Lucas Paqueta (Lyon), Tino Kadewere (Lyon) and Burak Yilmaz (Lille).
