Norwich are immediately back in action just two days after losing 5-0 to Arsenal on Boxing Day, this time travelling to south London to face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
The Canaries are desperate for points. A victory here wouldn’t be enough to lift Dean Smith’s team out of the relegation zone because of a disastrously poor goal difference, but it would be a good start to mounting an escape attempt as we roll into 2022.

Here’s a look at the starting XI that Smith could pick…
Angus Gunn (GK) – Made his Premier League debut for the Canaries on Boxing Day and is set to start again, with Tim Krul still a doubt.
Max Aarons (RB) – An ever-present in the Premier League this season.
Ozan Kabak (CB) – A lack of other options will ensure the Turkey international starts again, even though Arsenal was only his second full 90 in the Premier League since the end of October.
Ben Gibson (CB) – Captained the side in the last two matches in the absence of Grant Hanley and will do so again.
Dimitrios Giannoulis (LB) – Could replace Brandon William, who started the 5-0 defeat to Arsenal.
Pierre Lees-Melou (CM) – Could come back into the starting lineup for the first time since the start of the month.
Billy Gilmour (CM) – Has been an important starter ever since Smith replaced Daniel Farke.
Kenny McClean (CM) – A lack of meaningful competition with Mathias Normann out and Lukas Rupp still a doubt means he should keep his place.
Christos Tzilos (RW) – Could make only his third Premier League start, especially if Todd Cantwell remains out of favour.
Teemu Pukki (ST) – Norwich are looking to the experienced Finn for goals. He has scored five of their eight in the league this season.
Adam Idah (LW) – The 20-year-old has had a number of chances off the bench in recent weeks and that could translate into a start here.
