Sevilla forward Lucas Ocampos has suffered a second grade ankle sprain and will be out of action for four to six weeks.
The Argentine suffered the blow during Sevilla‘s 3-0 win over Getafe on Saturday as a result of a hefty challenge from Djene Dakonam for which the defender was sent off.
The pain on Ocampos‘ face was visible from the moment it happened, and tests carried out by the club’s doctors have now confirmed the unpleasant news.
It is believed that the estimated recovery time of around four to six weeks is as good as Sevilla and the player could’ve hoped for.
Yet it’s tough for Sevilla to see any positives at the moment given their busy schedule, with LaLiga Santander commitments coming thick and fast, as well as a two-legged Copa del Rey semi final and Europa League tie against Borussia Dortmund all in the next month.
