Turkish Super Lig Has arrived in Istanbul to complete transfer
Mesut Ozil has already landed in Istanbul and he will complete his transfer to Fenerbahce, which the player himself has described as a dream come true.
After bringing to an end his relationship with Arsenal, the former Real Madrid playmaker was met at Ataturk airport on Sunday night by Emre Belozoglu, the club’s sporting director, with an impromptu interview organised with the club’s official media channel.
“I am very excited because I was always a fan of Fenerbahce. My has dream come true for me,” Ozil told Fenerbahce‘s club TV channel.
“That’s why I’m very excited to wear the jersey. I hope I will be successful with my teammates. I hope everything will be fine. I wish the best.
“God bless them [the fans]. They always support it. We already know how big we are as a Fenerbahce community.
“They showed it again. I am so happy. I hope I can thank them on the pitch. I wish the best.”
According to various reports in the Turkish media, Ozil will sign a three-and-a-half-year contract with the Istanbul club, but no details about his salary have been given.
