Serie A Will miss Derby d’Italia
Juventus earned a valuable Serie A win on Sunday evening, defeating Sassuolo 3-1 after a slow start, yet one downside from the match is the news that Paulo Dybala will be absent for between 15 and 20 days due to a collateral ligament injury in his left knee.
Andrea Pirlo has failed to get the best out of Dybala this term, often leaving him out of the Juventus side, but he will now be without a prodigiously talented player for the mammoth clash with Inter in the Derby d’Italia.
“Dybala has an injury on his collateral ligament, he’s feeling very uncomfortable,” Pirlo confirmed in the immediate aftermath of Sunday’s match. “Let’s hope it’s nothing serious.”
Monday morning saw La Gazzetta dello Sport provide a clearer picture of the nature of the ailment and for how long the Bianconeri will be without Dybala.
It suggested that tests had shown a degree of damage that would equate to between 15 and 20 days away from action.
