Rafinha on Barcelona's 6-1 comeback against PSG: It still bothers some here in Paris

Rafinha Alcantara has admitted that there are people in France who are still hurt by Barcelona‘s famous 6-1 comeback against Paris Saint-Germain back in 2017.

The French side beat the Blaugrana 4-0 in the first duel of the Champions League’s Round of 16 four years ago, but the Catalans managed to turn the tie around at the Camp and clinch qualification to the quarterfinals.

“What club would not have suffered after that comeback?” Rafinha told Le Parisien.

“We are lucky that now we have the opportunity to make up for that, to play a great game and to remove this thorn, which still bothers some here in Paris.”

Rafinha moved to PSG last summer from Barcelona to re-join forces with Neymar and the former Blaugrana midfielder believes that his compatriot has matured over the years.

“Several years have passed since the last time I played at the same a team with Neymar,” Rafinha added.

“What I can say is that he looks much more mature and that he has improved a lot.”
