Cork have one point and one goal from five away gamesCork have failed to score in six of their nine league gamesShelbourne have conceded less than one goal per game on average
Shels went on a rare scoring spree in the Cup last week against Galway, their five-goal haul no harm for confidence, given goals have not come easily to Ian Morris’ well-organised side.
Cork, on the other hand, have serious problems in that regard, failing to register in two-thirds of their league games and one of their most promising loanees, Kit Elliott, has returned to England.
Cork were really poor after going ahead in Derry in their last league game on their travels. They set up defensively and lack firepower if they fall behind.
Shels were excellent in holding leaders Shamrock Rovers to a 0-0 draw in their last league game. They created chances in that and do have options off the bench if Cork manage to frustrate them.
The stats suggest there will be few goals with Cork failing to score in six of their nine league games and Shelbourne should land a comfortable three points.
Their three wins this season have all been to nil in the LOI and that points us towards a 2-0 win as Cork are likely to get caught out again if they are chasing the match.
