Milan have confirmed that manager Stefano Pioli has put pen to paper on a new 18-month contract at San Siro.
Pioli has impressed since his move to the club in 2019, leading the Rossoneri back to the Champions League and turning them into real competitors for the Serie A title over the past two seasons.

With things going so well an extension always looked likely, and Milan have now confirmed that Pioli has committed to the club until the summer of 2023, with his new contract including an option for an extra 12 months.
“I want to thank the Club for having given me the chance to coach a competitive team and one that is replete with great values, which must never go missing and which make AC Milan special,” he told the club’s official website.
“I’m proud of the work we’ve done until now, with the good relationship I have with the management, with the growth of my players and with the passion displayed by everyone working at this incredible Club. Our fans are extraordinary and I hope to return their affection by making AC Milan more and more competitive.”
Having spent last season as Inter’s biggest threat to the Serie A title, Milan remain in the Scudetto hunt this year. After 13 games, they find themselves second in the table, trailing leaders Napoli solely on goal difference.
