Boxing Calendar for the year
The boxing year has started slowly so far. With lockdown having hit the United Kingdom again, another few weeks will have to pass before the action resumes.
There are a number of big fights that could take place this year and, if they do, the world will be watching.
Negotiations are ongoing to make it happen twice, although only one of the fights would likely take place in 2021.
Crawford has been contradictory lately about this fight, saying that he wants to be undisputed welterweight champion, but also that he wants to move up the ranks. His relationship with his own promoter, Top Rank, could prevent it from happening in 2021.
Bernard Hopkins said that Canelo‘s next challenge shouldn’t be another middleweight champion, and that it should be Charlo instead. It’s the most attractive fight on the horizon for the Mexican.
Everyone is talking about Ryan Garcia against Davis, or Lopez against Devin Haney, but The Takeover against The Tank would be an incredible fight that everyone would want to see.
It’s hard to see Loma drop back down a weight division, but a bout against Stevenson could be an attractive proposition.
