NBA Ex-NBA player working at rehab centre
Former NBA player Delonte West continues his comeback in the match of life, having found work at the Florida rehab centre he attended after Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban helped him turn his life around.
The guard, who played for the Boston Celtics, Seattle Supersonics, Cleveland Cavaliers and Mavs, left the NBA in 2012 and has been troubled by drug and mental health problems, as well as homelessness, in recent years.
A year ago, a viral video showed West being beaten up on a highway and another also circulated appearing to show him begging, as well as being spoken to by police, shirtless and incoherent.
Mavs owner Mark Cuban stepped in, picking West up at a petrol station and offering to pay for his rehab treatment.
At the centre in Florida, West began to get his life back on track, taking part in recreational activities, including basketball, and is now working at the same place.
