NFL First post-season meeting between the veterans
Sunday night’s meeting between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New Orleans Saints isn’t your average NFL game.
It will see two of the most experienced players currently playing in the league go head to head in Tom Brady and Drew Brees.
Neither the Buccaneers nor the Saints have particularly complete teams, so the focus is all on the two quarterbacks, who have a combined age of 85.
“When Tom Brady signed for the Bucs and I knew they’d be in our division, I envisioned this game,” Brees has said.
It’s difficult to compare six-time Super Bowl winner Brady to anyone, but Brees certainly has an impressive record in the NFL playoffs.
The Saints quarterback has won nine of his 17 playoff matches over the course of his career, winning the Super Bowl in 2010.
As for Brady, though, his record of 31 wins and 11 losses in NFL playoffs, all of which are with the New England Patriots, is quite unique.
They’ve never met in the post-season before, but on the seven times Brady and Brees have met in the regular season the latter has come out on top five times.
