Lucas Moura caught the eye as he grabbed a goal and two assists, and the Brazilian could be rewarded with a start on the south coast as Tottenham look to close the gap on Arsenal in the Champions League spots.
Here’s how Conte could line his side up.
Hugo Lloris (GK) – A stalwart at Tottenham and leads by example between the posts.
Davinson Sanchez (CB) – A no-nonsense defender, aggressive in his duels and able to win the ball back high up the pitch. Put in an impressive all-round performance on Boxing Day.
Eric Dier (CB) – His ability on the ball will be a key asset under Conte’s watch.
Ben Davies (CB) – One of the biggest beneficiaries of the Italian’s arrival, impressing in that left-sided defensive role so far. His underlapping runs were missed on Sunday.
Emerson Royal (RWB) – Has looked the reverse of what many Spurs fans expected, excelling going forward but looking less assured going in the opposite direction.
Tanguy Ndombele (CM) – The early indications are that the Frenchman is going to flourish under Conte. His performance against Liverpool last week was impressive.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (CM) – Should offer steel and calmness in possession alongside Ndombele. Could be replaced by Harry Winks, however.
Sergio Reguilon (LWB) – Will be keen to seize his opportunity in the absence of Ryan Sessegnon to injury.
Lucas Moura (RW) – The standout in the win over Crystal Palace as he grabbed a goal and two assists.
Harry Kane (ST) – The England captain will hope his goalscoring performances recently are signs of a return to form.
Son Heung-min (LW) – His pace on the counter-attack is vital to Conte’s style of play.
