Liverpool won the Premier League for the first time after three decades last season, in a rather convincing manner, finishing 18 points ahead of second-place Manchester City. Some of their rivals have been strengthening this summer, while the champions only signed Kostas Tsimikas as a backup option on the left defensive flank.
Naturally, there have been plenty of reports suggesting the Reds were interested in this player and that, and manager Jurgen Klopp finds such rumours ‘really funny’.
